HOW TO BECOME LICENSED

If you are already licensed in another state, please click here.

Individuals interested in becoming a licensed barber, cosmetologists, nail technician, or aesthetician should follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Contact a Board approved school. [List of Schools]
  2. Discuss financial aid/payment plans with Schools.
  3. Obtain TB Test.
  4. Complete Student Registration Form. Student Registration Application (New Student).pdf
  5. Complete the required courses and hours.

    Barber/Permist

  6. Apply for examination with third-party examiner. Click here.
  7. Pass examination.
  8. Obtain 2nd TB Test if previous test is older than one (1) year.
